 Amanda and Chip's Wedding was amazing and the weather was perfect!  Thank you so much to all of the volunteers that made this day possible! 

Groom's cake - DJ Chip

Kelly Holder, U Designs Lead Pastry Chef, did an amazing job on the groom's cake for Chip tonight.  They took it to the rehearsal dinner.  Chip is a DJ, so she did a turn table replica.  100% of this cake is edible!!  The detail is amazing!  Thanks Kelly, for making this so special for DJ Chip!

24 HOURS until Amanda and Chip's big day!!

Only 24 hours until we will be setting up the ceremony site and getting ready for Amanda and Chip's wedding.  Everything is in place and ready to go, so we are just waiting. Chad and the grounds crew at Cherokee Valley Golf Course are working diligently this morning on the greens and they look amazing as usual!

Yes, this is an iphone pic!  Tomorrow at this time this will be a ceremony with the gorgeous fountain and fall leaves!!  Thank you Cherokee Valley!

Amanda and Chip

Four and a half years ago, a girl named Amanda met a boy named Chip.

We met out and about in Greenville, SC.  It was not love at first sight, more like hate at first sight lol.  A mutual friend even attempted to set us up with no success.  Several months after that, we ran into each other at a local resturant during lunch and Chip asked for my number.  To my surprise, I gave it to him.  He called a few days later and we ended up developing a strong friendship.  I left for basic training & AIT at Ft. Jackson- which during this time we did not keep in touch.  When I returned home, we reconnected and our friendship turned into a relationship.  And here we are today! :)

Amanda Adams, bride to be, is a member of the Unit 263d AAMDC (Army Air Missile Defense Command). Her command does ground based air defense for the NCR (National Capital Region) or better known as DC.  Her primary MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) is as a All-Source Intelligence Officer in the G2 (Intelligence Section).  She also serves full-time as a Plans Officer for the G6 (Signal Section).  As the plans officer for the section, she plans, coordinates, and supervises training exercises.  Her command, developed after 9/11, also participates in the planning and employment of Air Defense Artillery weapons systems, assets, and operations.

Amanda and her fiancé, Chip Westbrook, had planned to be married in April of this year.  The entire wedding was carefully planned out and most aspects were paid for. Unfortunately, a couple of months before their wedding date, the venue where the ceremony and reception were to take place, closed.  Due to her military schedule and inability to find additional days off Amanda and Chip were forced to cancel the wedding.

U Designs, in cooperation with, GSP Bridal Network, have offered to give Amanda and Chip their dream wedding!  They will be married on November 20, 2010 at Cherokee Valley Golf Club.  Cherokee Valley is providing the venue and overnight lodging for the bridal party and guests, as well as, donating all catering for the reception.  U Designs is providing Full-Service Event design and coordination, custom designed invitations, photography, floral designs, wedding cake, the groom’s cake and dessert favors, hair & makeup design for the entire bridal party. Additional donations will be provided by Gregory’s Formal Wear, CB Events (Luxury Event furniture and accessories), Event Décor and More (chairs, tables and linens), and Alice Finkelstein Designs (Design and coordination services).  Through these sponsors Amanda and Chip will be recieving over $25,000 in products/services for their upcoming wedding.
